Gaming PC - Ryzen 7 vs Ryzen 9

Assuming all other components are the same, what are the benefits of shelling out the extra cost of a Ryzen 9 3900x or 3950x CPU vs the Ryzen 7 3700x or 3800x ??

You don't really even need a 3700X/3800X. An R5 3600/X would do just fine for gaming.

There might be some value if your planning to keep the PC for 5 years + and dont want to change the CPU in that time
