Hi,

I am looking to buy a new PC but not sure what i should go for.

I was originally looking to spend around £1,250 for the tower but have also looked into one with DDR4 for around £1,500.

CPU Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core
CPU Cooler Phanteks PH-TC12DX 68.5 CFM
Motherboard MSI X99S SLI Plus ATX LGA2011-3
Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2666
Storage Samsung 840 EVO 500GB 2.5" SSD
Video Card MSI GeForce GTX 770 4GB TWIN FROZR
Case Aerocool X-Predator Devil ATX Full Tower
Power Supply Corsair 650W ATX12V / EPS12V
Operating System Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)

or

CPU Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7 ATX LGA1150
Memory Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400
Storage Samsung 840 EVO 500GB 2.5" SSD
Video Card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 4GB WINDFORCE
Case Aerocool X-Predator Devil ATX Full Tower
Power Supply Corsair 650W ATX12V / EPS12V
Operating System Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)

Now, neither of them are by any means final. I would appreciate some help on what i should do & why? Also i need a case, the only reason i have the Aerocool X-Predator is because i was going to buy the Avenger one in Iron Man colours thats all. But was considering this instead: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-329-CM&groupid=2362&catid=2231

About my uses:

I am by no means a hardcore gamer interested in absolute maximum performance, but i'd like one that will last me a few years with minimum upgrades required. Maximum reliability too. I wont bother overclocking it either.

Also planning on a 27" IPS monitor to go along with this build too for under £300 & a good keyboard for around £100 if anyone can suggest these too?

Thanks!!

If you use part picker they point to other competitors of overclockers and break the forum rules, it would be wise to remove the link.

i think you should be looking at a 290 for your system much better value and performance, but al depends on what you wanna game at ,etc

I don't know much about AMD GPU's, I've always been an nvidia guy! I Play all sorts of games, RTS, FPS(Not competitive), MMO, Action RPGs etc

What resoloution are you gaming at and plan to in the future as you have a massive budget. Is Gaming your main goal.

Ok say i go with these bits, buy 2 of the GPU's. So i xfire them & stick the 16GB of ram in? I used to run two GTX 470's when i got my current PC & i wasn't happy with 2 GPU's with the sheer amount of heat they gave out. It warms my room up an insane amount. Plus when i removed one of them the performance hardly changed & in some cases felt better. But this was a few years ago now...

What case? the xpredator avenger one or is the CM Storm Trooper Full Tower a better choice?

I already have a Blu-ray optical drive (My current PC is going to my brother, minus my HDD's, Blu-ray drive)

I'm planning on sticking an order in tomorrow evening for most of my parts, so many decisions to make still!

EPIC BUNDLE: Intel 4790K, Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7, Kingston 16GB 2400MHz Kit, Superflower 750W PSU £561.97

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 WindForce 3x OC Rev2.0 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (GV-N780OC-3GD)£335.99

Samsung 500GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Laptop Kit - (MZ-7TE500LW) £179.99

CM Storm Trooper Full Tower Gaming Windowed Case - Black £124.99

Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-Bit DVD - OEM (WN7-00614) £74.99

Total : £1,292.93

If i went for something like this, the difference would pretty much pay for the monitor compared to the DDR4 build. However if the DDR4 build will be worthwhile for future proofing then i'd rather put the money into that. Argh! :(

Am now considering a 2k monitor!! May as well! Any recommendations? 27"

Will be looking at under £350 for the monitor preferably.
