Needs to include a 27" monitor, ssd and windows, decent desk speakers, mouse and keyboard.
Full atx or m-atx... Case should be a bit blingy (lights etc)

Budget he has set about a grand but happy to stretch it to get the right bits.

I am finding it hard to suggest getting a locked i5 as they are too close to the 6600k, hence something like this would be good (left speakers out as sound is very personal imho) if you want to spend less then get h110 mobo and i5 6400, with a 4gb 480 and non freesync monitor, possibly go for cheaper case or shop around in the clearance section for some bargains
