gaming pc spec advice please

a family member is looking for a cheapish pc for his 10 year old son to game on. he already has a ps4 and xbox one to game on but would be looking at running games like the cods and bf4, titanfall etc at settings that would hopefully be on a par with the 2 consoles. No point dropping in 780 or 290x in there lol.

hes not too fussed whether parts are new or used just as good as spec as possible for about £400 possibly £500 max at a push. only really needing CPU, GPU, MOTHERBOARD, RAM, PSU. everything else he already has and will choose his own case.

i actually quite like the look of this one, how is the 770 compared to a standard r9 280

That's a 770 vs 7950 (which is what a 280 is, the 280X is based on a 7970Ghz edition)

This is a great looking setup for the money, the GTX 770 will really pee all over the Xbox One or PS4.

yeah i kinda gathered that given that certain reviews have the xbox one and ps4 running equal to a 750ti in games. as i said hes no too fussy on playing anything above medium-high settings if it was going to cost a fortune.
