Gaming PC spec

Looking to build a gaming PC for around the £1000 mark, got a couple of questions if anybody can help

1, Which of the two selected graphics cards would be better to go for? - I am in the future possibly looking to go SLI so should I stick with the 760 version? - Do the graphics cards have to be identical to run SLI? I also choose these because they exhaust though the pci

2, i5 or i7, for gaming will I notice much difference?

3, Overclocking, will my selected cooler be ok, or should I go for a H60i or equivalent mounted on the back wall of the case? I know if I go for the h100i I lose the ability to go SLI

4, If I overclock with the selected case will I need more fans?

5, I haven't got a clue about RAM when for ones the wife said sounded pretty what suggestions do you have?

6, Power supply again no idea, just added what I thought would be ok given that I might upgrade to sli some time when funds allow

any help would be gratefully received

Thanks for the detailed reply, it was very interesting to find out about the power supplies. What are your reasons for going for the asus motherboard?
And I did think I had the graphics card all sorted in my mind but you have now given me a bit more to think about

I cannot believe I'm going to be swayed by the internal colour scheme, but I do like the system that you have come up with.

Having said that I do really like the styling on the prodigy M, if I did go that way do you know if I can still do crossfire (liking your choice of GPU) and fit two fans in the top of the case? will it draw enough air through passed two graphics cards on top of each other.

What are your thoughts on the card below, supposed to have a mixture of fans/blower would this help?
