Gaming PC SUB £500?

My bro's looking to buy a gaming pc for his son for Christmas. Budget is £500 and he wants to be able to play the latest releases at decent speeds. Is this feasible?

Does the build include monitor , windows , etc ? Will you build it yourself.

If it includes monitor etc too, for just £500 for everything you might as well get a console. £500 doesn't go very far if you want to game on PC with decent specs.

£500 will just be for the rig itself, no accessories or so needed. We have a copy of windows 10 we can install on it.

You can match a consoles performance for the cost of the console though consoles definitely have incentive of ease of use when it comes to this price point.

Even if you matched the performance of a console, the sheer versatility of a computer is worth it imo.

Yeah Depends on what the person wants if it's JUST for gaming then the console could hold some incentive.

Not really, gaming on pc if you are only spending £500 for everything ( which we now know hes not ) would give little benefit over a console which costs less. But whatever floats your boat. You can pick a console up for a few hundred, if that's all he was spending getting that would make more sense. I hate consoles btw with a passion.
