I'm starting to miss my PC gaming and would like to build an SFF build to sit next to my iMac. I understand that some graphics cards output to displayport?

Could I build a gaming box for £400-500 that would output to my iMac?

Any suggestions on cards if so?

Thanks

IIRC only the 27 inch IMac can use the Displayport for both input and output, the 21 inch is output only. Probably best asking in the Apple forums though for confirmation.

I have the most recent 27" iMac and after some research it looks like only a few select cards work.

"HD5970, HD5870 Eyefinity, HD6850, HD6870, HD6950 and HD6970 are the only ATI 5-series & 6-series cards that will work"

Could anyone reccomend me a card from that range baring in mind my original budget of about 500?

This looks nice and is confirmed to work with the mac but seems a bit pricey.

It does also say 6850, so this card would suit too. It does depend on the type of gaming you want to do though - remember the resolution is high, so this card will struggle on games like Crysis and Metro at full resolution and highish settings.
