Hi Guys,

Looking to build my first pc, purely for gaming & internet surfing

I've got a budget of £1000 and I will need windows included but I have all peripherals already. Ideally, I'd like to be able to upgrade in the future but would also like the PC to be on the quieter side of things (my mechanical keyboard is bad enough according to the mrs)

Can anyone help me to spec out the best gaming rig with that in mind? All the parts look the same to me & I have no clue what the good deals are.

Dave

thanks for your help stulid.

To answer your questions - I'd like to build the pc myself as I have always bought off the shelf systems before and want to get a bit more for my money this time. I've watched a few youtube videos and it looks fairly simple as long as you don't fry the motherboard!

My monitor is 21" @ 1920 x 1080, I'll likely upgrade it in the near future.

Are the radeon graphics cards significantly better than an equivalently priced Nvidia card? There seems to be a lot of talk about the new nvidia pascal range coming later this year and I'd rather be able to dual nvidia cards at that time unless the current range is considerably worse than the radeon.
