I am looking for a new gaming podcast.

I really liked the videogamer podcast, but sadly that was abruptly ended.
I also used to enjoy the easy allies podcast a few years ago, but that is not the same anymore after some key staff left or changed.

I guess I am looking for a general gaming podcast, that covers the news and latest releases with humour. Preferably a UK podcast as I prefer the humour. Preferably something reasonably succinct, ie approx 1hr. I don't have the time for podcasts that are 2hr+

I already listen to:
Digital foundry
Eurogamer
Games industry. Biz
Best game ever
Stealth boom boom
Electronic wireless show

But none of them are really an adequate replacement for the videogamer podcast.

Not podcasts as such but I still subscribe to Giant Bomb on youtube although barely listen to it these days, no where near what it was a few years back. Skillup is quite good, does a weekly wrap up of what's going on in the industry aside from the reviews he does. His accent is a bit weird nowadays though but think he's trying to appeal more to US listeners.

I wondered why they randomly stopped.

The Mature Gamer Podcast is enjoyable, English members, weekly podcast around 1hr 10mins.

I always listen to Game Scoop, it's US and IGN which I know some people won't like but the host Daemon Hatfield and the regular crew are knowledgeable and entertaining.

They also play video game 20 questions at the end of each episode which I usually suck at but enjoy.

The Retro Hour is well worth a listen, if you're into Retro stuff. They get a different guest on each week and most of them are interesting.

Me too! They also cover lightly on other entertainment from streaming content, movies and what they are watching in their own time. 20 questions obvious lean very much into older games and it is amazing how much they know, especially Sam….that guy is like Wikipedia of games in his head.

ACG does great podcasts unfortunately they are very long though (the last was 4hrs!!). I usually watch it in 1 hour chunks.

The PS Access podcast is good (though obviously it's entirely PlayStation-focused), they're a good bunch and their YouTube channel is great.

It's not gaming news/reviews focused but My Perfect Console is also good, they have a guest every episode (comedians, actors, people from the games industry) to talk about the games that would appear on their perfect games console.

I only have 3 1/2 that i listen to and would highly recommend them all, however they're all on the long side:
Giant Bombcast
The Jeff Gurstman Show
Fire Escape Cast

and another one which is hosted by the Giant Bomb team but doesn't really revolve around gaming:
Voicemail DumpTruck

good thread, been looking for some. I listened to one gaming podcast and it was awful. It was probably aimed at a younger generation. (IGN maybe?) Then there was another- which was retro and I quite liked that.

UK ones I listed to -

The Retro Hour (Retro Games)
Cane And Rinse (Each podcast focuses on a specific game)

Others I listen to -

Axe Of The Blood God (RPG Focused)
Retronaughts (Retro Games)

Former Videogamer fan here - check out VG247 on Youtube.

Jim and Tom from Videogamer are both there, and it's got a lot of the same energy as the old Videogamer podcasts.
