Other than Giant Bomb is there any other decent gaming podcasts out there worth subscribing to?

I've tried to get into GB but it's complete drivel for 3/4's of the show and when you are driving it's hard to keep skipping to find something of interest. I defy anyone to listen to the first 45minutes of their E3 day one podcast and not want to punch them in the face :D

45 minutes of pre-show drivel that sounds like someone has dropped a mic into a random conversation about nothing. When they get around to gaming it's good but finsing that hour in 3 and half hours is getting on my bits.

So anymore worth looking at instead?

Invisible walls is ok, but short.

I enjoy GB but I usually stay away when there's big events on for the reasons you mention. Plus they'll release a 2hr podcast every day for a week and I lose track where I am :p

I'd like to know if there's others. I used to listen to 1Up but they stopped :(

That was particularly tedious, I admit. But generally I find GB quite useful because I listen while doing a tedious job. It chews up three hours or so quite nicely.

Gamers with jobs can be a bit too diverse... they spend too much time on board games some weeks. :-)
Various IGN podcats. The Aussie one, every fortnight, can be quite entertaining, but the UK one's useful for all round Uk entertainment chat.
PC Gamer has a UK and US podcast fairly regularly.
And Epicbattleaxe have a couple most weeks which can be a bit hit and miss.

Generally by the time I've listened to most of these I don't want to do much gaming, so they save me a fortune. :-) Having said that, they cost me £40 this week because I doubled my PS3 collection by buying Last of Us, which everyone seems rather happy with.

I really like GB's podcasts, but if you want to hear gaming news/reviews in a concise form, I can see how you do not like them. I used to listen to Exploding Barrel, when I had time to listen to a lot more podcasts. They aren't particularly long, around 30 min, and don't have the off topic ramble like GB

I've been loving their podcasts lately. I would definitely recommend the JoyPod one, especially their most recent which involved the presenter having to guess what MS revealed in their conference as he missed it.

PC Gamer UK's Podcast (PC game focused) & Video Gamer UK Podcast are the only gaming related ones I listen.

Roosterteeth, not really about gaming much anymore, but I love it, very funny as well.

Followed roosterteeth since Series 1 of Red vs Blue!

I don't mind off topic but the last couple I have listened to were almost an hour before the talked about anything game related. The E3 day one, I just couldn't understand why they even started the podcast until the gear was set up and ready to go. The conversation was about nothing, there was multiple conversations going on at once and people talking over each other.

For a while I thought my turbo was whistling until I realised the guy was breathing too heavy into his mic for 2 hours! That whole hour was a total mess of nothing :D

That's for the suggestions guys, I will download a good few and see what I prefer :)

The reason this weeks ones are like that is because its purely the audio ripped from them streaming the night before on Twitch. :)

Roosterteeth is hilarious, utterly brilliant but I've felt it's been just a comedy show for a while.

Really loved the first few seasons of Red V Blue.

Xbox world used to be great bunch of people talking about random stuff and games. It's still good to listen to the really old ones

Is there anything like it still ? Gapper was comedy but he's gone to EDGE mag now.
