Hi Folks

I'm looking to put together a build in the £1k-£1.2k range (including assembly). I won't be doing anything substantive other than gaming on it.

No idea what I'm looking for specifically; the Titan range all look fine but I don't have the wherewithall to pick one out for myself.

I will say that aesthetics aren't an issue (it will literally be out of sight within the confines of my desk, although a black case would be nice).

Also looking for a decent mouse and maybe a monitor to replace my venerable Dell S2409W.

Any advice you guys could offer would be greatly appreciated.

i have this monitor and it's a good quality screen, very good colour reproduction for a TN screen
the cmstorm peripheral bundle is very good value
i know you said premade, so i came in at >£100 underbudget, if you show ocuk your spec, they can build it for you at a price, call/email them for a quote

Ps: did you need an os?

Could you add in a good SSD and OS for the same price if you cut out the monitor and peripheral package? The monitor can wait for another month since my current one is still doing fine after about 6 years.

i changed the ram to something cheaper and faster, but not colour matched. the case has no windows anyway so no biggies

Personally i would go with this i7 build, you get a 4.4ghz boost speed without even doing anything. Extra threads might be implemented in future games and if you do decide to do some cpu intensive work in the future your always covered. The case already has a built in slot for an ssd.
