So, I have been hanging on for a long time to see what Skylake would have to offer and am not impressed. I have been following the various much more knowledgeable people on here and it seems the consensus is to stick with existing, possibly going for X99. £1500 is the max to get me something that will last me a good few years and possibly offer upgrading tracks.

Having a look at pre-builts as a starter (I don't mind building) this caught my eye on this week only.

This but with a 980Ti looks like a sweet spot.

I already have a 500GB 850 EVO ready to move across so don't need a primary drive or OS. I currently run three monitors (1 28" main and 2 20" secondaries - all HDMI) so need to be able to run all three when I am coding/working etc. Primarily a gaming machine but I'd like to get something that will last me a few years and also allow me to run VM's as necessary.

So, oh experts of the build, any suggestions?

P.S. not too fussed about cases or lighting anymore but like plain black cases like the Lian Li with simple straight lines.
