I'm in need of a gaming rig for around £350

Will be mainly used to play teamfortress2 and blackops 2, I know It wont be able to play on ultra settings so just the best spec possible please.

Dont need keyboard, mouse or OS.

Do need Monitor and wireless.

thanks a lot

just paid more for a mb / ram and cpu, so price range and gaming rig might need to change title, for £350 a value setup at best would cost more, sorry.

at least a £100 out your budget would be for a monitor, so doesn't leave much at all

as you want a full system?

nice spec and good price tbh, u spent the time as i didn't for that lower budget, congrats. i sometimes forget that not everyone has money to burn on there hobiies :(

so sorry treefutom for that, spec above will be be good for the price, have fun with it and upgrade at a later date if needed

Sorry but, you would need about £450 to build a 'Decent' gaming rig, you're better to go for a console with that money.

Intel Build. More expensive but more futureproof. This may be able to be tweaked to be even better and could do with a better PSU (both builds could) but I THINK they will be ok. However, if you can stretch, it is worth getting a better PSU for your build :)

Hope this helps,
Cam.

I just don't think you can get a full gaming PC for that money. A decent CPU, mobo, memory cost me like 300. Plus gfx card plus tft plus all the rest of the gubbins. Its going to be difficult to build a good PC that can play newish games on half decent settings and get half decent fps.

Since my idea of playing on a console seemed to get brushed to one side here are a couple of quick builds.

Notes

There is only one of those graphics cards in stock and it is refurbished (but does come with 1yr warranty). If it goes out of stock you will need to go to the 768mb version or switch to the HD 7750

You may also want to consider a slightly larger case like the Xigmatek Helios so you have a bit more space to work inside the case.

If you don't have a DVI to VGA cable for the monitor then you'll need one like THIS

You may be able to find the odd part cheaper elsewhere but OCUK is the cheapest for everything in one go because the RAM, GPU and monitor are all absolute bargains.
