Hi guys, Now that I have a PS4, my rig only gets used for films and music. I currently have;
Corsair 650D
Gigabyte x58-ud3r
i7-920
6gb dominator ram
60gb ssd
1tb hdd
Asus xonar d2
Sapphire hd5850
I'm looking to turn this into a htpc, which I currently can use as obviously however it's rather big, loud and a bit over the top. Couple of questions, how well would the cpu run 1080p mkv's, and would it need cooling at all? I'd be looking to underclock if I could get away with it too. I'd sell the case, sound card, gpu, and I'd like to squwear it into a htpc case if anyone had any recommendations, thanks.
