Hey, I'm about to buy some new parts for my computer and wanted a quick spec check - I looked at the rooted thread at the top i thought i'd go with something like

http://i365.photobucket.com/albums/oo97/The95thRifles/OcUK builds/MidLevelIntel.png

but I only need the Motherboard/CPU/Memory/Graphics card - as it will just be a replace job i've got the case and and power supply(its a 600 will that be ok), i was also thinking of getting i7? or will the i5 be ok? is there a massive difference? this will mainly be a gaming machine.

Trying to stay around the 600 - 700 pound mark.

Thanks for all your help.

Wait so if you got a PSU why have you got one in your basket? A PSU @ 600W should be ok but whats the make of it?

And if your going to be using your system for gaming there's really no need for an i7. That i5 is perfect for gaming, you could easily get 4.5GHz stable with that.

Seems fine.

i7 won't benefit you for a gaming rig:)

What is the make/model of your 600w PSU?

Everything in the spec looks good. Not sure if your buying all of them or you put them in to show what you have as well but if your buying the CPU cooler, go for the Corsair A50, but don't worry if that's what you already have, it's still good and will work.

Thanks for the replys so far, not sure what the make is of the PSU atm as im in work i'll have to check on that, and i'll stick with the i5, that list was just what I was thinking about buying got none of it yet - i also wanted to ask is SSD worth it atm - for just gaming? or is the price just to high for what you get?

If you have to compromise on other components, then get the other stuff first and look to buy an SSD later but if you can afford it all in one go then it's worth it
