Hi guys building my first rig, and am just wondering if this is a decent rig for my money.

Slightly over but you don't need 16GB of RAM so you can get rid of that. Also, no storage drive, just a 128 SSD.

Yes it would all fit in the case, the H60 will take the place of the fan on the back of the case. The GTX 680 will fit with 20mm to spare.

Though you can always get a different case, the carbide 500R (as below) is a great case and a bit bigger (i think).

He'll need a storage drive, i assume. I don't see the point in the i7, he wanted value for money (bang for the buck) and unless it is being used for heavy photo and video edit the benifits won't be seen.

The samsung RAM (in my spec) as ideal for ivybridge as it overclocks to 2133mhz easily (appearently).

I dont see the point in the h100 either, the h60 should do the job.

uv got a samsung 24" monitor there with an offer to claim the vat back. so atm its £155 minus 20%. so do that if u choose to take it. which ends tommorow fyi

the antec 1200 case is out of stock, i put the nzxt in casue they are really nice for the money.

the gpu. right, without starting a yet another fan boy war. the 7970 is cheaper runs slightly cooler and overclocks more than 680. plus u get 3 gmaes atm from the good guys at ocuk. to me thats a no brainer.

i put the corsair modular psu in as the popular xfx ones are out of stock atm. the corsair is slighly dearer but is on par with xfx.

At £95 the M4 SSD is a steal.

just weighing in with 2 cents, if you're suggesting replacing the back fan with the h60, you could save about a fiver by replacing it with the OcUK H²Flo http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-001-OP&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=2262 (Its the same minus the fan, so you could just bolt it onto the rear fan instead of replacing it...)

a lot of things missing [monitor, keyboard, mouse, OS]. Seems a bit over specced in places and under in others. I don't think the benifit of sandybridge-E is worth it, especially just for gaming.
