Recently I've been struggling to play high end games on my laptop so I decided to build a desktop. I already have an 120gb ssd and all the necessary software. This is what I have so far:

CPU - i5 3570k
Mobo - Gigabyte Z77-D3H
RAM - 8gb G Skill Ripjaws 160MHz
GPU - GTX 570 1280mb
Case - Aerocool vs3
PSU - Some 700W(any recemmendations?)

I'll be using it mostly for gaming and as this is my first build any advice or tips would be appreciated, cheers.

700w is a bit hefty unless your planning to sli in the future.
The 450w corsair builder should do you fine.

Just be carefull with the ram as you may not be able to fit some coolers due to the heatsyncs.

Not with the 570 I'm afraid. The CX600 will do it.

CPU - good.
motherboard - good.
Ram - get some low profile ram like vengeance LP / HyperX / XMS3.
Case - Whatever tickles your fancy, as long as it's decent.
GPU - for that budget, definitely go 7850.
PSU - 550+ for a GTX570 (around 40A@12V), for a HD7850, the CM 500 will do the job.
