I've been looking around for a motherboard that will fit into a standard atx case that is socket 604 CPU compatible.

The only one's I can find don't have PCI-E slots so it makes it impossible to fit a decent graphics card.

Does anyone know of any high spec gaming motherboards that meet this spec?

:confused:

Socket 604 is a server platform, you'd be hard pressed to find any motherboards marketed at gamers and they will all be expensive and require ECC memory.

I'd suggest you check the websites of Intel, Supermicro, Asus, MSI and Tyan.

I know it's a tall order but I have 2 Intel 6-core Dunnington CPU's sitting around that I'd like to use in a desktop.

I've tried all those sites but none have PCI-E or they are ATX!

sSpec = http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLG9K

They are Folding right now and doing a wonderful job!

Many large ATX cases actually do support E-ATX but I don't honestly think you'll find any 604 boards in a standard ATX format.

Hefner that looks awesome, although the motherboard in those links is ideal (albeit missing DVI and a couple of other things) but the review is 2 years old!

Surely there are newer versions of this!
