Hey,

Thnking of building a new gaming rig, got about 700 to spend all i need is the tower got a monitor, software etc.

Ive always gone with GeForce cards, never used an ati before what are they like in comparison to a similar geforce model?
 
That is about on a par with an 8800GTS, beats it in a few things - generally higher resolutions and is behind in a few things but I can't see anything that is massively compelling to make you pick one over the other. :)
 
This is an alternative to Semi-pro's excellent spec. It includes a GTS, though personally I'd take the ATi above, a very swank case, a faster hard disk, an equally (essentially) beefy PSU, and a more future-proof motherboard.
