Hey I've been trying to put together a computer since January and now i have the funds available id like to purchase :p

SPEC.jpg

Was something i put together today, if the price is right for that GTX (really hope it is) i thought it would be better going for that than an X2 even if the aftermaket cooler puts it in direct competition with the X2. If anyone has any comments about saving some cash please feel free to comment.

Btw i was trying to keep it under a grand so bear that in mind ;)

You dont need the vga cooler, and I would get the corsair 620w over the one you hae suggested.

Also you need a case:p
Try pushing for a 24inch monitor?? As they are fully 1080p compatible and are awesome with 1080p rips and bluray films.

I have just bought the new bfg gts in this weeks offer for 164quid, it is awesome and I would get it over the gtx as it uses less power for pretty much the same performance (and it is cheaper so the extra money can go towards a case).
Also I have an freezer pro (or something) that was 15quid a year ago, it is very quiet and has a large fan and is much cheaper than the one you have suggested.

Hope this helps:)

Thanks for the info guys, i have a Lian Li v2k btw ;) . Do you think an overclocked GTS could handle the upcoming games on a 24''

Oh also i really don't need that big of a H/D just something fast and reliable really. I have other things for storage :)

Hmm this seems better and cheaper.Opinions welcome, especially on the monitor, heard some nice things about it but I'm not sure how that GTS would cope with the resolution, but i do like the idea of getting a nice 24'' monitor with my spec for under a grand :D

my GTS (same as the one you are looking at) is fine at 1920x1200 (24inch res) for everything I tried except for crysis, but we all know about that:) Even at mid to high settings it makes COD4 look old gen graphics.
Also the GTS is very quiet and the fan is not rattley nor whiney.

That monitor looks fine to me, although havnt seen one in real life (mines the 290quid samsung and its good stuff).

My cpu fan is this

the man in the shop recommended it to me and it does the job, it is very very quiet.
Maybe the tenner u save on that give a bit more towards a better hard drive??? My rig is a sig and the hard drive is (obviously) the slowest part so the quicker that is the better imo. I own this and its quiet and faster than your standard sata2 drive

I have no idea if your motherboard is good or not, but I hope you plan on running that cpu at 3ghz at least:D

Hope this helps:p Your rig will be a good one!

Hmm replacing the TT with the Frezzer 7 Pro and the seagate with a Samsung SpinPoint T 320GB it brings it to a nice even'ish 960, so thanks for the tip mglover :)
