Hello people my friend (through gaming) recommended overclockers as the place to go to for a pc spec and then to get the parts.
Hi Sneaps, and welcome to the forum.
It will be a self-build and I could possibly spend a little more for an SSD as they do seem to be advised for gaming.
Try and get the SSD in straightaway, to put your OS on and key programs etc. It's less hassle that way. But I wouldn't advise placing your games on it, unless you got something like a 250GB. Maybe one or two big (approx. 25GB size games) you can get away with on a 128GB. Once you install drivers, Windows Updates, mobo utilities and your fave programs etc, it's not rare to be left with around 70GB of free space on a 128GB. And you don't want to fill up the SSD completely.
I mainly play FF XIV, and a couple shooters like BF4 (I know it wont run anywhere near high settings but I will plan to upgrade throughout the year just need a good gaming base)
If that's the case (that you'll be upgrading throughout the first year), then my advice would be to grab a second-hand video card (or keep using an old one you may have) for now, so that you can focus on the best gaming base you can squeeze in for that budget, and then add a good video card later on. Otherwise, a lot of money will go towards a card, which may not even give you the performance you wished for, and will be "wasted" (as well as making you have to settle for cheaper parts for the base) if you're planning on getting something better in within a year.
You can go about it however you want though. That's just what I'd do.
Example basket below (with a 250GB SSD), no video card (you will need one, as processor has no integrated graphics), and if you need Windows you can use Windows 8.1 for free for 3 months and then upgrade. Budget case, so you may want to spend a bit more on a better one, but at least this one comes with two fans straightaway and isn't terrible for the price:

You will need to add a storage drive at some point. More "complete and balanced" builds can be done, but you likely won't get the good base you are hoping for that way.
