Gaming spec ok?

Personally don't get the Zotac as its loud and hot. Custom PC did a good review of all the GTX 460's and the Asus and MSI came out on top for quiet and cool running.

+1 to cpu change. Makes little to no difference real world in my opinion plus its like 3 pints more in the pub, Or like 4 pints if your a student :)

^^what everyone else has said re: psu etc, but I would swap the 500GB with a 1TB - not massively more expensive but definately massively more space! Modern game installs are HUGE so if he 'loves gaming' and doesn't want to stick to only having a couple installed at the time, he'll appreciate having more space to install stuff

No... No you don't. Not for gaming, it just won't be up to it

Onboard GPU is for me, not nephew. He is the one who would be having the 460. I very rarely game on the pc these days
