was thinking - get rid of the all in one panel and upgrade the case.

is there anything missing?

how easy would it be to put together etc?

Its a little small, can't really see it :P

EDIT- Ignore that, I think its my computer :)

To answer your question, I think everything looks great, almost a slight overkill on the graphics, but it should last you a good while. The only thing I would do is change the operating system from Vista Basic to Vista Premium. I don't know very much about that motherboard manufacturer either, so I would read up on some reviews of it :)

a little over budget but keeps u future proof for next 5years there abouts and u can add a 2nd gfx card in future if u like plus case is much nicer:D

its more dependant on what size your monitor is and what resolution it is ?
i mean if you were running 720p which is 1300x700ish a 4870x2 would be under overkill:D and deemed pointless:D whereas if you buy an i7 now since you are spending £1k you might aswell or drop your budget down a little say lesss than £800 tbh:D like this would do

Personally Id look at an AM3 system along the lines of this, its better than 775 as is a "live" socket with more potential for future upgrades

btw yeah your original PSU is woefully inadequate, and imo you should spend money on a a decent case, not only will it last you longer (can be re-used in next system) it provides much better cooling which is important in high end systems. Agree with siamutfung, the gfx card may be overkill depending on your res

i think you overlooking a vital issue, heat and case.

it seems many people just pick and choose parts which are best, but once put pc together heat issues and not enough cool air cooling the parts is quite a big issue when gaming or running high intense programmes

i suggest you invest in a good case and CPU cooler and fans for would you buy a lovely 10 roomed mansion made of cardboard?

i suggest this case

the anubis is a good case and i got it and runs very well

then put a decent cpu cooler in, i got water but this will do fine also:

then maybe some to replace the hiper fans.

also take into consid parts and tools for your build as getting the wires, tires and tools will take some money.

building a pc isnt just getting good parts it also getting good equipment to build it with. and management.
