what games have made you most depressed? i don't remember all the games way back but i would say games that stuck in my mind are call of duty 2 and call of duty 4 on veteran, ninja gaiden and ninja gaiden 2, fifa world cup 2006 that match brazil versus sweden omg most depressing thing ever. there are probably qa lot more that i can't remember right now.

Depressed? None

Stressed? None

Frustrated? Loads :p

At the moment it's metal gear online, for example just had some git playing as snake, tranq me, run up to my body and put a playboy mag next to me. As soon as i'd wake up i'd get distracted by the mag and be unable to move at which point he would then tranq me again.

Jokes on him though, eventually he let his guard down and just as he fired at me i managed to prone-roll out of the way, followed by an extremely lucky headshot, which also turned out to be the final snake-kill our team needed to win the round.

The random headshots make my blood boil... in a good way (sorta).

Not that many Single-player wise, but Multi-player is a whole different story ;)

Usually down to people glitching/cheating or if its lagging constantly with little american kids bragging they won just because they have the host and I end up with a ping somewhere between 100-250ms.

The above for me is frustration and not stress or depression btw :)

Nismo has a better word so I've nicked it :p

Also forgot to mention the games!

Main ones:
Halo 2
Gears of War
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4

When I played the first Ninja Gaiden earlier this year, that nearly had me throwing my controller at my TV.

I don't really have that problem anymore. It's like I had this urge to rush through everything, but have calmed down and take my time, and dying over and over doesn't frustrate me quite as much.

Even ninja gaiden 2, I will die by not using any health items purely to try and learn some strategies for killing bosses. I just need to remind myself there is no rush.

Played a little Lego Star wars over the weekend, and was getting frustrated with the slow pace. Then I reminded myself I don't need to rush it, and just needed to kick back and relax.

Edit: Though I do get a bit frustrated when I die due to glitches in a game.

Spot on.

It's when my wife says "I don't know why you play games" that I know I've blown a bit too much... They never last long but sometimes you just need to let off a little steam ;)

Mile High Club had me going.
The end boss on Viking on hard saw me erupt.
The bit on Half Life 2 Ep2 which has you being chased by the helicopter gun ship... it wouldn't have been so bad but I was carrying the f'ing gnome.
... ah, and the big one was in the final dungeon on Lost Odyssey, where save points are a bit thin on the ground the game hung and I lost 2+ hours play.

CS.... but competetive matched have also had my heart racing when you pull off a 5man or something, especially winning a round to win the game :)

Loved playing CS at a decent level but took too much time

Metal Gear Solid 4 has frustrated me. But its only on the last bit. Best not go into detail and ruin it for anyone. But i can do the whole game fine, but as soon as i get to the very last bit, i had about 7 attempts at it the last time over.

Games like Silent Hill always stress me out. Not because it is scary, but coz I know it will make me jump when I'm not expecting it. It's also pretty stressful hardly having any ammo and not knowing what's going on half the time!

In Resident Evil 3, having that Nemesis thingy constantly chasing after you...that was quite stressful.

And, any game that has a time limit. Dead Rising would be very stressful to play if it wasn't for the 'restart at the same level' thing.

i don't know maybe i have been playing too many games but even the slightest irritation can make me go mental. i get the kind of stress that lasts several hours up to a week. the state of my mind completely deteriorates and i can't touch it again until i calm down and plan my strategy during sleep lol. oh i forgot to add prince of persia classic. that game took me over 6 months to play through but second time i did it in few hours :)

I bought MGS4 last week and the thing about it that's got me depressed is that I can't be bothered to play it. I heard it was an amazing game and my mate told me I didn't really need to play the other ones first to enjoy this one. So I bought it and fired it up for a game, after what felt like an hour of "playing" I think I'd been in control for about 2mins and watching videos the rest of the time. Having missed the first 3 games in the series I didn't want to skip to them incase they told me things I needed to know. So by the time it said "ACT 1..." I was thoroughly bored and as soon as I died for the first time, I just turned off the PS3 and I've been playing Boom Blox since then.

I dont let any game stress/depress me

If a game gets to that stage, its no longer entertainment and i dont play it, i have enough stress in real life, i dont put up with it in my games. I play games to enjoy myself

half life 2, gives me loads of tensio and i get really bad neck ache from stressing out, when frigging head craps jump out etc!
