gaming surface opinion

I am looking for a large gaming surface my icemat is no good for my RAT 7 and the desk surface isnt great either, i would go for the OCUK XXL but its to deep for my desk, so am considering Mionix Sargas 900, anyone have any experience of using this.

I would be careful of black gaming surfaces, my RAT 5 appears to have tracking issues, but not sure if is the mouse or not. Still investigating & testing. Still, not sure I like the mouse any more.

i have had my RAT 7 for 2 years and its been ok on desk but not grweat, the icemat is black but i think its the glass that is the issue. I like the RAT 7 its shape was weird to start but im completely used to the feel now

R.A.T. 7 Doesn't work to well on glass.

no it doesn't, i have never used it on my icemat cos of that fact, my desk surface is not perfectly smooth as it has a wood grain finish so i think that is making the mouse unresponsive at times

Have you had issues with the tracking when you pick up and move it so another part of your mat?

My mate actually asked why this exact mouse wasn't working, he was playing on glass, got him a white mouse mat, worked smooth as a groove.

I've got the OcUK XXL mat and I love it, but the RAT 5 struggles on occasions.

my restriction is the depth of my desk, its about 340mm so a number of larger surfaces are not compatible, i like the idea of the larger width but the depth is limiting hence opting for the sargas 900, should go nicely with the qpad mk-85 im going to order too

just received the sargas, it is really nice to use but frustratingly it is larger than the product description states (900x400 not 900x320), i have left a message with customer service so hopefully they will get back to me and update the product page to show the right dimensions

well it seems that mionix dont know their own product as they have the incorrect spec on their product page
