Looking at building a new rig and buying a superwide monitor purely for gaming. I was originally looking at an x99 rig but after considerable thought I've decided it would be totally overkill for my needs and would put me way over my 2k budget when i include the cost of the monitor.
So here is what I have in my basket so far:

YOUR BASKET
1 x LG Flatron 34UM95-P 34" WideScreen Super-Wide LED Monitor £679.99
1 x GALAX GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infinity Black Edition" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **WorldWide Exclusive** £287.99
1 x "ReVenge Gigabyte Z97" Intel Core i7 4790K @ up to 4.6GHz Configurable Enthusiast Gaming Bundle £182.00

1 x Crucial MX100 512GB SATA 2.5” 7mm SSD + 9.5mm Adapter CT512MX100SSD1) £162.95

1 x Asus 24x DVD±RW DRW-24F1ST SATA ReWriter - Black (Retail) £18.95
Total : £2,104.79 (includes shipping : ).

Any thoughts, as always are greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance :-)

I had considered that bundle but as it doesn't include ram or cooler + oc I thought the ReVenge one was better value. I agree the psu might seem overkill, the reason was I wasnt sure anything less would power 2x gpu's. Thanks for the info :-)

Thanks stulid, I'm still on the fence though to be honest- either way I'm going to have to get a second card as in the future I'll be playing the likes of witcher 3, star citizen etc and would really like to play on ultra high settings at 3440x1440. Am I correct in thinking the extra vram of the maxwell gpu's will really help??
Also Ive only just noticed your previous post asking about overclocking, I have tried a little in the past just with the cpu (1100t @ 4.2ghz) which i was quite pleased with, but I have never tried with gpu/ram etc

Just spoken to a very helpful man at overclockers, sorted a great price on my original build with an upgrade on the cooler to a new kraken with a 4.8ghz bin chip.....
Think I'm gonna take a trip to the bank!
Thanks for your advice stulid :-)

What's the recommendation on an OS for this build by the way? Really like win 7 but since support will end this month I'm worried about future driver updates etc. Really dislike win 8.1 but if it's a better choice I'll have to go with that.
