I'm going to move my HTPC so it's a dedicated media PC, so I'll be needing a gaming/surfing rig.

Currenly I have a Lian-Li PC7 case, Corsair HX620 PSU and Sapphire 4850 Graphics Card.

So I'm looking for a decent Motherboard/CPU/RAM combo.

Budget is £300.

Also, is it worth using the PC7 or upgrading to a case with better cooling potential?

The PC7 should be fine, for that budget Id look at AM3, hows this look for you? All on TWO

yeah, not quite on a par with i7, but barring that yeah, and the new AM3 socket is a better bet than the old intel 775 as youre more likely to be able to upgrade in the future, 775 is dead socket now

I was gonna suggest a tricore setup as 98thrifles did. It's the best VFM in its price range.
