gaming: to widescreen or not

hello, i want to get a tft...

its only for gaming in Quake 4. I was thinking of the hans g widescreen 19

however i play at really low graphics details and at 800x600 on 4:3, and use whatever the low equivalent in widescreen mode is.

will this monitor do it and keep the aspect ratio ?

will a widescreen suit me or should i get a 4:3 tft ?

yeah playing multiplayer, its easier to see enemies then

i just wondered if the monitor *** do it

Id do it, but do it in the knowledge that not all games support it in their options, with some games you have to actually edit the config files manually.

easier to see enemies due to wider field of view.

also there is a widescreen gaming wiki with edited ini files for games that need it.

Battlefield 2 doesn't have very good widescreen support so I'm hoping that Battlefield 2142 is much better!

Don't get your hopes up, it's not supported in the beta.
