I'm thinking of getting one mainly for f1 2010 and 2011 when it comes out. I got a few other racing games like dirt 2 and I would like a wheel that is not goin cost a lot. Thinking 30-60 quid budget. Any ideas as what is best for that price range?

If you are going to buy a wheel you need to spend a little more money to make it worth while. The Logitech Driving Force GT is a lot of wheel for the money, but will probably be nearer £80. Anything less than that is going to be a bit rubbish.

As said above, 90% of wheel are premium these days for FFB but you can still pick up some cheap mediocre wheels which will often have horrible pedals and little or none FFB. If you want a wheel to last you a good few years without having to consider upgrading I would go for the Driving Force GT, but if you think you would only use a wheel on the odd occasion then purchase a cheap Thrustmaster wheel.

The DFGT doesn't have proper padel shifters does it? Seems a great wheel but I couldn't play F1 without them

Yes you could. I do F1 and NFS Shift 2. Trust me, you will not miss paddles unless it's purely aesthetics you're after. It has buttons behind the wheel in each paddle position, very comfortably under your fingers. I went from a thrustmaster paddle wheel to the DFGT, and I don't miss the paddles at all, and I thought like you before that I would miss them. The DFGT is precise, solid, feels great, will get you good laptimes or race positions, and is affordable.

Thrustmaster Ferarri GT wheel isn't a bad option - trust msg me about one if you get the drift.. Else a DFGT is supurb and you won't miss the paddles!

Im currently using a MS wheel on the 360 so any wheel I choose will be a huge leap in quality and feel :D

I would say yes personally if you play a lot of sims, 90% the reason behind this is due to the awesome pedals and super smooth + quite FFB :D

Yeah I want to get into the sims so a G27 is a better choice overall for me I think.

The G27 won't work with the 360 though, this is mainly due to Microsoft charging for licensing of peripherals I think? Which Logitech doesn't want to pay for. I just got a G27 a few days ago (upgrade from my G25) and it's pretty fantastic :D

If you can afford to stretch the budget a bit (~£80) then it might be worth looking into the Fanatec GT3 V3 clubsport edition.

the dfgt does have the "paddle style shifters" but they are more like buttons on the back of the wheel, i have this wheel sat in front of me

Yeah, the DFGT has large buttons on the back that are paddle shifters.

For the money, you simply cannot beat the DFGT. Its transformed F1 2010 into a totally different game for me! Got mine for £80.

+1

The "buttons" that are the paddles are fantastic nothing wrong with them at all.

Wish I could get my hands on a g25 tbh. Looks like dfgt then but I'm a sucker for those padals and the look of the f430. Also I hear the pedals on it are better than the dfgt?
