Gaming with a gamepad??

Wondering who uses a gamepad and for which games exactly??

Also what would you recommend? Simply an Xbox controller?

Pretty much just get a Xbox Controller, a decent amount of games support it natively.

I've got myself a Razer Onza but it's basically the same as the Xbox Controller. Not really worth the premium VS the Official Microsoft Xbox Controller to be honest.

I use a game pad all of the time, depending on the game. Some games that were ported over from console and play better with a game pad, such as Dark Souls. Other times it's when I want to sit back on my chair and play a few games without having to slouch over the desk. And then there's my friends who play consoles so can't use KB&M but want to enjoy some of the games I play on PC with better graphics (GTA IV, Bioshock 2 etc).

Xbox controller is the best simply because most games that will use a game pad will support it and automatically configure the controls for use with the game pad.

I'll use it an Xbox controller for any game I can. As long as its not an online fps.

Tranformers. GTAIV. Saints Row 3. Darksiders 2. Batman's. Bulletstorm. Skyrim.

+1 to the Xbox controller, although most games I play I seem to prefer using the mouse + keyboard combo.

Another Xbox controller here. Native support means it just works.

i use the xbox pad in all my games, if a game does not support a pad that well i.e Battlefield 3, i map it the best i can with Xpadder.

Xbox pad here too. Simple plug and play.
In BF3 I'll use KB+M on foot and pick up the pad for flying vehicles.
Sleeping dogs is so much better with the pad.

It's like playing on an upgraded X360
