gaming with a HDTV?

Been playing on my Sony 40 X series at 1080p for a while, it makes the console equivalents look last generation!

they are both just as bad. MY 24" DGM is better than my old 40w sony was in that regard, but both were better than the dell 2407 so im not really sure a blanket statement like that can be made.

My 32" 720p panasonic beats the living daylights out of my samsung 20" 'pebble'. While the resolution may be lower, you sit further away so you don't notice, you also get to reap the benefits of running high demand games at a lower resolution so things like AA can be applied to a higher degree than they could on my monitor. Contrast and colour vibrancy are also far better on my HDTV.

Exactly the same sentiments here. My 32" Sony LCD > my 20" Ultrasharp Dell monitor for identical reasons (see earlier post )

i use 26" samsung LCD 720p for all my gamings worth! much better than a 19" or something similar.
