Is it possible to play Crysis/UT3/Bioshock via a single install of the game from either XP or vista OS? I can do this with COD4 ok, but the others dont seem to want to play??

I'm asking as I'm flitting between OS's at the moment until I make up my mind which I prefer and would like to take my progress in each game with me between OS's also installing each of the games twice seems wasteful of disk space.

Cheers

UT3 and Bioshock will work without installation but Crysis will need to be reinstalled.

I also have dual boot and the trickiest thing with gaming on dual boot is for both OS to recognise the same save game files. Most savegames are stored in "My Document" but obviously this is slightly different with XP and Vista. What I do is to keep all save games (and all my files) in the "My Documents" folder on the drive of the OS that you use the most, and direct the "My Documents" folder on the other OS to this one where you keep all your files if you can understand what I mean?

And also more importantly remember to disable User Access Control on if you're gaming on Vista. I spent hours trying to figure out why Bioshock and other games kept crashing everytime I saved game, it turned out that UAC blocked the games' access to the my documents folder.

P.S. - Happy 1000th post!!11

Ah yes 1000....yikes! Cheers Steve.

I also have one shared documents folder between the OS's and have run into problems with the UAC when trying to share a common outlook data file, so I also turned it off lol.

I tried last night to get UT3 to work, initially it wouldn't play at all, just kept coming up with side-by side configuration errors so I installed it in Vista as a test, it would then run from both the shared drive I have my games in and also the vista drive where I installed the 2nd copy but each time I run it it tells me my game ini file is out of date and needs to be updated, I've still not got to the bottom of that one!
