I have had no problems with my games since moving to Windows 7 until I tried some of my games that have no built in brightness/gamma control. Under Xp I would just use the Nvidia control panel to tweak the values so I could see in those games properly. But under Windows 7 it will not take any notice of the adjustments I make to the game only the desktop is affected (I made sure that the use Nvidia settings tickbox was selected).
I had built a new system for a friend a few months previously using an ATi5850 so I tried one of the games on his system and it has the same problem, the in game gamma is not changed by the graphics cards settings tool.
Looking around the net I see a lot of posts about the same issue but just cannot find a solution. Can anyone help?
