Gammon Joint

Got a gammon joint that I'm going to cook in CocaCola (did this a while ago and was absolutely delicious!) but I'm not sure what to accompany it with.

Could go the gammon, egg and chips route but as it's a decent bit of ham would like something a little more special to go with it.

Any ideas?

Nothing else is needed , just a plate/knife and fork. Maybe some bread yum yum!

You slow cooking it ? Or boiling it ?

What type of coke would u use? Just the cheap stuff or pepsi or coka-cola.

I think if i were to cook with coke it would be cherry coka-cola. My fav.

I recommend Dr Pepper, par boil in water for 30 mins and then slow cook for a few hours on the hob in Dr Pepper, sliced up orange, cloves and star anise.
