Ganged or unganged memory ?

Just installed my new Gigabyte MA790-XT-UD4P...what a piece of cake that was. Updated the chipset and audio drivers...and all is well.

One thing I noticed was that it gives me the option of unganged or ganged memory...I have 4Gb dual channel installed. It defaults to unganged and states it has a better performance.

Can anyone advise please ?

It won't let me install/flash the bios I get a windows 7 message of "NTVDM.exe not working" ... ?

Unganged is better, means dual channel , I believe.
