Gangsters 1 or 2? which was better?

Which was the better game Gangsters 1 or 2? I did a lil search on the forums and someone mentioned Gangsters 2 being dumb down for the masses. Is this true because I’m sitting at work thinking of some old games to play. Last month I dug out UFO:Enemy Unknown and also Uplink. I tried to dig out Diablo 2, but can only find the EXP LOD. So then I ran across Gangsters 1. It was a fab game and I remembered there was a sequel that I never played. Should I go buy the sequel and give it a shot? Or stick with the original and hire some goons!

I recall the original being relatively hard- challenging and requiring a lot of tactics. Good fun also.

However, I also unfortunately recall the second release

... It had certainly lost all of the charm of the original and just seemed to be a cheesy-comic book-cheap hollywood flick-adaptation! :eek:

But as with most things, some prefer the different game style. I suspect you could probably pick up a twin pack for £5 or similar so give them both a shot

I still have Gangsters 1 so ill just install that and save myself the 30 minutes to go to a shop and buy G 2.

Btw does anyone know how to force a game into window mode? I've right clicked the .exe and tried the -w and -window methods. Also looked in the game options. I really wanna play this bad boy in window mode rather than full screen.
