Indeed most units seem to have an integral lamp, i am more looking for a unit which may control external circuits as i wish to switch some external lighting and utility block lighting.

We have a Berkley System on both garage doors and it also engages internal lighting when you activate the doors - when you close them the lights go out after 30 seconds.

Do they actually switch the proper lighting circuit? If so could you possibly grab the model number off the machine for me? I cant find a lot for Berkley on the interweb
Tefal - yeah this is the other option, i can fairly easily relay the internal light of the more common units, but was after an out of the box solution really
To clarify, i can do it myself using any system, i am very competent with electrical installation. However i was wondering if there is an out of the box solution
Tommorow, go into your yellow pages, look up garage doors, and just call everyone there, these people are bound to know more than us !
When I was repairing the garage door, a few people asked whether we wanted it converted to electrical, so i'm sure they can help with the info you need.
