Garage Error Help

I think they are within their rights to inspect/repair at their own facility - they made the error they are able to rectify. However, you should request the cost of an MOT at a place of your choosing afterwards as a safety check (well maybe argue for an SVA and let them either accept that or negotiate down to an MOT).
 
Just let them sort it, if it's either of the two companies I'm thinking of they're more than capable and work on ST/RS cars everyday and know them inside out but accidents are inevitable.

It's what kit cars etc. have to go through to be declared roadworthy - much much more stringent than an MOT. Might be overkill, but I'd give it a try.
