I love Garbage. For me they have to be one of the most consistent bands around.

Their new album, Not Your Kind Of People, is released on May 22nd. Just been listening to a couple of tracks from it but I'm not sure what to think.

Blood For Poppies:

Battle In Me:

I prefer 'Battle In Me' but I suppose the other will grow on me after a few listens.

Definitely on pre-order. :)

Seen this on their facebook status update but not looked too much into it (been too distracted by Jack Whites new release Monday). but sounds really good so far!

is 2012 the year for music? certainly sounding it so far.

I always thouyght Shirley Manson to be a bit of a babe to be fair.

Blimey. I wondered if they'd split up after doing The World is Not Enough. :o

I'd never bothered checking to see if this was the case of course, but just hadn't heard anything from them since that and Garbage 2.0, which I rather liked.

Will have to check these out.

Oh wow, did not know this band was still making music, I first found out about them when I was younger and played the demo of that music game, forgot the name, where you're some girl and you had to play Garbage-Cherry Lips, fell in love with that song after that!

They released two more albums after Version 2.0. Beautiful Garbage and Bleed Like Me. Haven't listened to them, but I did like the first two albums. Like Vonhelmet, I probably lost interest for whatever reason.

Loved them, but got a bit hacked off that they pretty much ripped off the blueprints of Curve and that Curve aren't around any more!

Still, sounds canny.

I realized I had severely overlooked them in the past, they have some of my favourite songs from around v2.0 era, so looked up the old vids on youtube and was surprised to find a new song there! Good that they're back recording but I won't be expecting anything amazing.

Drummer is Butch Vig who Produced Nirvana's Nevermind - a fact I never paid much attention to before either!

Just been digging around some more and found out that Skunk Anansie also reformed and brought out a new album back in 2010, awesome. Same sort of era and also female fronted. Cardigans, Republica, Lush, Sleeper, Sneaker Pimps, I love them all!

Sleeper's first two albums were amazing. She came across as proper dirty as well.
