Very nice, especially for a 50mm lens - what's your working distance like?

Thanks for comments. Lens is the Canon 50mm f1.4 at around f8 or f11 or so. Working distance is ridiculously close especially with the 3 tubes stacked, guessing within a couple of inches. Used the 420EX on an off shoe cord for lighting as well which was tricky in itself as I don't have a bracket for holding it.

I didn't even know this was possible, I thought it got tubes covered all the light if you got that close.

I use the Kenko tubes btw, as far as I can remember the Canon ones are pretty expensive.

Excellent macro shots, just goes to show how well the 50mm and tubes does, its how I started.

Like you say getting the lighting right is the hardest part, but I think you've done a grand job. well done.
