I need some advice, currently the back garden is 100ft long and a mixture of grass, veg and bonfire!

So I need to fence off the grass for my boys. Its currently covered on two side so i need some cheap ideas. What do I use to fence thats cheap and can be 14ft long?

wooden fence wise - use timber posts (cheaper than concrete) and source cheap panels from a local timber merchant.

Other methods.

Buy chicken wire ,not sure how high you can get it, but you can get long rolls of the stuff. Then use bits of wood or metal stakes to keepo it in place.

Do i have to plant posts in concrete or anything like that?

I have seen at a local place a 6ft x 3ft panel for £18 good deal?

nope. but a post whacker is essential, well it's not but highly highly reccomended.

Its a metal cylinder with two handles. you basically smash the post about 2ft into the floor.

Although It means you then have to attach the main post to the post you embedded. If you don't mind using a shovel, it would just be easier to make some concrete up yourself on a piece of ply or other large board.

No idea what a decent cost is.

How strong a fence are you wanting? Enough to act as just a deterrent and mark a boundry? Then get some lengths of wood and cut them into stakes then just use a mallet or whatever to sink them deeply enough.

In that case...
