Hi all,

Our garden shed is on its last legs and I’m happy to throw it in a bonfire come November.

Can someone recommend an online supplier/8x6 shed?

Thanks

Andy

Got ours from Tiger Sheds. Very happy with quality and construction. As is common, prices went a bit mental post covid - not sure how they stack up now.

I was happy with my shed from Tiger as well. I must admit it wasn't perfect (some of the fixings were missing, some of the wood was distorted when trying to build it) but I was able to resolve the issues myself. The wood isn't pressure treated either, so you have to treat it yourself before building.

I was really happy with me one from Tiger sheds too but in the last year or so the wood has shrunk on the front door panel and some of the tongue and groove bits have popped out leaving gaps, also the windows have gone really milky and yellow despite being the upgraded thicker Perspex ones. The rest of the shed is still nice and solid but i have been a bit disappointed, i think we've had it about 5 years now.

this is just before painting it again this summer:

Good point re: pressure treated. Looking at the pricing now, I might reconsider as the same shed I bought from them is now twice the price. I appreciate I got mine four years ago, but double is a bit much.

Shame to hear about your issues @sovietspybob

Keter shed here... Composite material so should effectively last decades without painting.

They stopped making the one I have (Keter Fusion 7ft6 x 7ft6) but this is very similar

Keter Newton

Main diff is I have small horizontal windows on the doors and a full length horizontal window on 1 side as well as the full length skylight piece so it gets plenty of light inside.

I only paid £740 for it 4 years ago so prices have went up a bit.

I did have wooden sheds before but paying £400+ every 10 years or so, the Keter was as much a financial decision as it was for ease of ownership... I shouldn't have to replace it ever.

Don't worry about it "blowing away" either... This thing is about 120kg once I added each box weight together so it's going nowhere once built...

Same, parents bought a Tiger Shed and the windows have heavily yellowed due to UV. I would try and get glass as fogged up windows really detract.
