Garlic butter recipes

get some butter and soften it in the microwave,
add plenty of chopped garlic and then mix it together.

there's really nothing more to it :p

I always make my own garlic bread. Butter, Parsley, a couple of crushed garlic cloves. But then once applied I add some Paprika then some nice cheese - then toast. yummy!

Do this. I'm doing it tomorrow night. Let me know how it turns out:

I'm using jumbo shrimp instead of scallops.

That sounds amazing. I think any shellfish would work with that.

Yep a sprinkling of fresh chives on garlic butter bread is amazing. If you're daring, add some very finely chopped chillis to the chives on the bread, then dip chunks into a yoghurt/mint/finely chopped red onion dip.

go with a Pinot Grigio for the wine. It complements well as the dinner wine to go with it. "Always cook with the wine you're going to drink."

Trouble is I end up drinking the wine before I've finished cooking, then have to crack open another bottle :D

Pinot is a great allrounder, Chenin Blanc too. In fact there's a new Red Nose Wine from South Africa (Chenin Blanc white, Shiraz red I think) I tried a sip of the other day, tasted great, and only £4 a bottle.
