Has anybody here seen dark places?

I watched episodes 1-3 last night.

It's pretty damn funny.

Just wondered what other peoples opinions were?

One of the best TV shows to ever grace this earth.

The official DVD is coming out sometime in June-July.

:O Where did you watch that!!? I've been searching for years for it. The official website is rubbish as their mailboxes are full and have been for about 2 and a half years.

Please email me if you have the series on DVD as I can't find it?!! It's not released until July at the earliest if it's the one I have found.

Same here, I spent ages searching for it and any news on a release. It was a great programme, so surreal :)

It's great to see so many Marengheniae (that's fans of me, Garth Marenghi) writing reviews for a product that hasn't even been released yet. And well they may. Well they may. After all I did invent the internet with my short story Mindgrid and Amazon probably owe me several cheques of gratitude.

So my hospital-based horror medical drama set in pre-apocalyptic Romford finally goes digital i.e. is coming out on DVD. About time too. Those people at Channel 4 yanked me any which way but loose on this one but at least they saw sense in the end. Although, it wasn't all their fault. The fact that Darkplace has not been released until now is a testament to its radicality. MI8, which is the one three levels above MI6 pulled the plug. Simple as. They were scared of what it would have done to people's minds.

My aim with "Darkplace" was a simple one: to change the evolutionary course of Man over a series of half-hour episodes. This was not going to be easy. It took me days to write the most vital work of my career. Sixty-three terrifying teleplays that breathed hope into the dramatic arts. But even when filming, the plug was eventually pulled by the unbelievers and those too blind to see the truth. In two months we managed to film only 50 episodes.

This DVD contains the first six episodes, is packed with blood curdling extras and it renders all future and previous DVD releases redundant. Asda will be doing a three quid off deal, but if you order it direct from my website, the first 30 punters get a complimentary egg cup in the shape of a skeleton head.

Whatever: it belongs to its audience now.
