Odd move to me if he does go for it. More money maybe, but it seems to be a worse job.
How is it a worse job? Bolton are in a far better position than Burnley to survive.
The owner has money should he choose to invest it (Bolton owners always have a tendency to take out far more than they put in). Bolton have been here before and know how to survive, whether you choose to believe it or not, Bolton are an established premiership side. We also have a better squad in terms of quality - just needs Coyle to put their confidence back on track.
People who are saying its a bad move due to Boltons style of play just need to look at the man we just fired off for that problem, Coyle will look at having them play a more attacking, flowing style - something the players will be able to adapt to, we just need another CB and creative midfielder or 2 in january to give us some depth and extra options.
Im sure he was offered a job by someone not long after leaving Charlton, but didnt want to move north. Could be that he still wants to stay close to home, ruling out a lot of the recent jobs that have come up.
