Indeed. Even in a small party things get broken - Just the way young people are when they've had too much to drink.

I agree, but that doesn't mean they did nothing wrong (ie, not at fault), which was what I was arguing.

I must have put it wrongly then - I mean the main person at fault was the kid who put it on Facebook publicly - None of this would have happened if he kept it to his friends privately.

Whilst that's true it was a mistake he's admitted making and it was only 30 mins.

I think once someone has admitted fault there's not much point pillorying them for it.

Yeah I don't really see why they cite BB Messenger specifically, as if the house was wrecked and looted solely by people with Blackberrys while iPhone and Android users were sat at home none-the-wiser to the goings on down the road?

I was at a party once, before the times of facebook. There was a small amount of people invited but somehow the word got out. Next thing we see is a completely packed out bus, which stopped outside the house. EVERYBODY ran from the bus and straight into the house. It was mayhem, i walked into a bedroom and the bed was upside down, wardrobe tipped over, people throwing stuff from the windows, jumping off the roof. Madness. This lasted a couple hours before police arrived and kicked everybody out, by which time the house was completely destroyed. The girls parents were not happy when they arrived.

Happened to me at school, in our usual group (bored of course) the girls we were with all get texts from one of the guys we went to school with inviting them to a party. We caught on to what he was doing, let everyone we saw know about it and well before you knew it it got a bit out of control.

This sort of thing happens all the time, yet kids still post on facebook wanting "the best party ever", but expect it won't get out of hand ....... what a silly boy!

Leaving kids of that age at home without any form of control is bound to get out of hand with booze etc even if nothing else - so his parents have only themselves to blame for the cost of repairs etc

ALso why didn;t he call the old bill out when strangers started turning up randomly on his doorstep ? Accidental my arse, he just wanted to increase his social stadning by having some wild american pie-esque knees up at his parents gaf.

His parents should flog his ass with a belt, and his parents should have their assess flogged with a belt for failing at parenting
