...Is on fire at the moment, anyone from Sheffield seen all the smoke?

for anyone whos interested.

Can't say i'll miss it but im sure a lot of people will!

I am absolutely gutted. I have had so many great nights in that place

There is loads of smoke drifting by my house right now and i live well over a mile away. Anyone got any good ideas for what do do on bank holiday august, i guess i wont be seeing Ferry Corsten any more

Ditto, Ive had some truely memorable nights there. Gutted.
Hopefully they will rebuild it bigger and better.

My old housemate who lives up the hill from Sheffield Wednesday can see the thick smoke from his house.

Not heard anything about this, although i work quite away from the town centre. Was there at the weekend as well, gutted. Where do i go for my fix of trance etc now.

I'm glad i made it to PVDs 6 hour set there last month, a few of my mates who didnt go were banking on going in september

Just popped my head out of the window and i can see smoke off towards Sheff direction, dunno if it looks big enough to be a nightclub burning tho looks more like a factory chimney. Surely they've put it out now tho :eek:

Crasher is never good for your ears it's so ****ing loud!! Earplugs have been a godsend for me

Ferry's not what he used to be but none the less i've had some fantastic nights when he's been playing. PvD last month was fantastic, such a professional set and generally an all round amazing night. I've gotten to meet so many of the crasher regulars in the past couple of years. It will be sorely missed. I guess club VOID will be my new venue of choice in sheffield!

The worst club for your ears is Ministry of Sound, atleast in Crasher theres a few places you can go and give your ears a rest

PVD was awesome, although i only have a very blurry recolection of the last couple of hours :cool:

Have had some great nights in there.. It was better before the refit though a few years back when it was The Republic so hopefully, when they rebuild it they'll build it like it used to be!

I reckon it was arson anyway.. Insurance scam or something, know what these dodgy club owners are like!

guess you could go to tall trees where the planned gatecrasher night with ferry corsten has a good chance of been back on...

it was only canceled the other week after the djs pulled out to dj at the bigger night in Sheffield..

insurance job ? club wars ? expensive land ? bit of all 3 ? who knows

im sure they will rebuild and refurb it now!

It must make a fair whack on its Crasher nights, 1000ish ppl @ 15-25 a head + drinks!

It will live on im sure - just not for a few months!

I too am gutted, had a fair few good nights there and met loads off ppl from
here at nights out there
