Gatecrasher One (Sheffield)

DAMN!!

That place was awesome - best club in Sheffield IMO.

Had some good nights there when it was Gatecrasher and even better when it was the Republic. I've still got a Republic bag I wear with pride!!

I reckon the insurance will pay up and they will make an even better venue as the staircases in that place were awful - anyone remember when they tried to make them one-way?

However, what will be loast is all the small places those staircases led you to that some people never found. There were loads of little areas to chill out amidst the madness.

I reckon they'll replace it with something with a much larger main dancfloor. As the stairs leading to the main dancefloor were really inconvenient - as was the fact you walked straight in off the street into the small dancefloor.

no seriously, I’m really happy, I used to stay with a friend in the exchange works sometimes (which is 30 seconds walk from it ) and it was just awful, the amount of drunken antisocial chavs it attracted was unbelievable, not to mention the immense amount of litter and the stupid incomprehensible chaved up flyers your bombarded with round uni about how Dj whothehellcares is playing, good riddance i say, turn it into flats!.
 
having turned 18 this week in the middle of Alevel exams i was putting off going out round town first time legally till next week with the aim of ending up in crasher. that scuppered my plans didnt it. i think the bulding was rate funky though no matter what the music was like it looked good. i bet they build a new one, just a matter of where and when..

Its the same anywhere? :confused: Granted you could hear the music the far end of the halls but come on, get a grip.

i've never seen any pilled up people fighting at crasher :D

i remember some good times there, i hope they get it rebuilt and have some awesomely amazing huge re-opening party :D

defqon was on saturday, was listening live most of the day on q-dance radio :cool:

never done q-base, not sure as i can stand 14 hours non-stop :o

they do at the events i've been to, mind you some people have saide that the atmosphere isn't as good at sensation as it is at q-dance events. never been to a sensation event, been to a few q-dance ones though.

No but about 1000 absolutely vein gits spending all night looking at themselves in the mirror or spending all night pilled up. Absolutely the worst club I've ever been to. But then again I'm an old fart.. :D

50000 sensation tickets sold out in 2 hrs this year.

Sensation white last year was awesomely good atmosphere, but tiesto headlined it so was quite special.

Deems - Tears of Hope (Aly & Fila remix). Hearing that for the first time at the White Party was just amazing, the lasers were perfect.
