I have a Gateway DX4300-11 machine for two years now and since two weeks ago I keep getting a message that the monitor has lost signal. Ths happens after 10-15 minutes after turning the machine on. I am then unable to use the power button to turn off the computer and have to resort to unplugging it from the wall.
I have changed the monitor, the video card, the vga, dvi and hdmi cables and the same problem persists.
I have contacted gateway technical support and they are telling me it is a hardware problem.
I have gone to control panel and changed all the power options to never and have doubled checked that the computer has not been set to sleep. I have booted up and allow it to stay on the BIOS screen and the monitor still lose the signal even though the PC remains on.
I just don't know what else to eliminate and wondered if anyone here could help.
Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit
8 GB RAM
I TB HDD
ATI Radeon HD 3200 integrated graphics card
If the full specs is needed then "dx4300-11" can be googled. Thanks.
