Today i was flashed by a gatso even though i was doing exactly 30 which is the limit for the road......I also check my sped cam detector when i saw the flash in my mirror and it was showing 27mph....i even pass the camera everyday.

The camera defo flashed though....there was cars coming towards me do you think they could have triggerd the camera at all?

Do you think i will get anything through from this

As anyone else had the same haoppend to them and had any thing through at all?

Thanks

I've had several traffic light gatsos flash me, when it's been a green light. Never hears anything about them. If you where not speeding forget about it.

Maybe it's just some random glitch, or a pre-programmed thing to cycle the electrics and camera mechanism to keep it functioning.

How odd! I haven't experienced it myself but I can imagine it being quite alarming!

If the cars coming towards you were speeding a lot they would have set off the camera. It if was a Gatso they still rely on lines printed on the road to check your speed, so you are fine.

This is what I believed it to be. Cars opposing the camera can still speed trigger the camera.

Speed Cameras only work on one lane, I highly doubt the cars would have set it off.

Ive heard that cars coming towards the Gatso can still set it off if they are speeding but wont be prosicuted.

I think this is true as myself have witnessed a motorbike on the other side of the road set one off.

They only work on one side of the road, the camera is triggered by sensors under the road before the camera. The camera doesn't record your speed it just takes two photos then they use the lines to determine your speed.

hmm didnt know that

so if you where doing 35 on a 30 strech and slammed the brakes on and went past at 30 ....it would still get you

I see this happen all the time cars in front slamming the brakes on at the last minute

i thought after doing a bit of searching it was calibrated from the lines within the road and theres only lines on both sides if a car was to overtake another breaking the limit.
